Welcome to the Doctors Hospitals website. This site has been designed to familiarize you with Doctors Hospital of Augusta and the many available services  we have to offer.

We are committed to providing the highest level of quality care easily accessible in an efficient and friendly manner. We understand you have many choices in the community for health care service and strive to instill the importance of customer service throughout all our patient care areas. You can be assured that Doctors Hospital is equipped with the most modern technology to assist your physician with diagnosing and treating your medical needs. Our primary focus is our patients' comfort, convenience and privacy. Our mission and values, as well as strong customer service philosophy guide our actions every day.

Following the July 2009 grand opening of our new South Tower building, we continued to invest in our facilities and services by opening the Joseph M. Still Advanced Wound and Burn Clinic in January 2010.  The clinic includes 20 patient rooms and a new hyperbaric treatment area. In January 2011, we completed the expansion and renovation of our burn unit from 59 to 70 beds. This project included the renovation of 20 private burn ICU rooms, doubling the size of our dedicated burn Operating Rooms from two to four, and the addition of a dedicated post surgical PACU recovery area for our burn surgical patients. In addition, the burn center was recently granted a special burn designation as part of the Georgia Trauma Care Network. In 2010, the burn center was verified through a rigorous review program administered by the American Burn Association (ABA) and the American College of Surgeons (ACA).

In November 2010, we were pleased to have our Clyde A. Burgamy Center for Women, renovated. Built on a solid foundation of providing Family Centered Maternity Care,  the beautiful enhancements contribute to an overall feeling of well-being with the comforts of home.  In addition to the renovation of our Women’s Center, our Emergency Services Department underwent a major facelift completed April 2011.  With 23 full capacity beds and 4 pediatric rooms, we are proud to have the most modern and up to date emergency room in the area.
